My Art Marketing Story- Chapter 1- Who I was
Many of you, even some who consider yourselves my friends, do not know my history.
In this chapter I intend to tell you who I was.
I was an artist with a gallery. A gallery that had a branch in New York. Given two one man shows in Paris, one in New York, and through them, one in London and Chicago. I applied once, to the top gallery, my first choice, and was accepted; as easy as that. And I never looked for or applied to another gallery, ever. Through that one wonderful gallerie I was kept totally busy as a full time artist, showing in Group shows and Salons, in the Paris region and the South of France. So what happened? The owners retired and the gallery became a jean store. At first, that was all right. I was living then on a luxury tourist island, Belle Ile en Mer. As a full time resident and successful artist I was able to reserve and maintain the most popular weeks right in the full tourist season for expositions
A sell out every time. Income steady and dependable. I had a web site and most of my sales on that were made to the USA. So I naturally thought that moving to the US would not be a problem.
Wrong. And now, after struggling along for a couple of years, I know it’s time to make a massive effort to get back up to the top.
Enter B. Eric Rhoads and his Art Marketing dvd.
Sure, I’ve taken classes on blogging, read a slew of books.
But nothing ever spoke to me like this dvd was able to do. It’s like a shot of enthusiasm. Enthusiasm and home truths. You need to walk out the steps. You need to DO something to have any chance of it working at all.
This chapter is about who I was. I was famous, successful. And it’s about what I want to do through all this Art Marketing effort. I want my life back. Follow me on my journey as I share with you what I am doing and how it is working for me.
The dvd by Eric Rhoads has helped me to focus, to decide what I do what, what I am unwilling to do as well. I have learned how to lay the foundations for success, how to develop a strategy. Follow my path and efforts as I implement these strategies and make my way back up to the top. I am going to get my life back.

Thank you so much, Linda. My friends agree, that somehow I lost confidence. Funny, whenever I think of why, my Father’s death comes right to the front of my mind. Not sure why. He was certainly my biggest fan, a massive dose of unconditional love. And there was a LOT of rejection after his death. Loss of any security, emotionally. The economy didn’t help. Anyway, thank you. I believe in my work, I truly do. Susan
You have the talent, maybe just needed that extra jolt of enthusiasm to get you back on track! Go girl go!
